Staying safe online

  • The Quick exit button (or the Esc key on a keyboard) jumps straight to Google and takes this page out of your Back button.
  • It can't erase your browsing history. Other pages from this site will still be listed there. To remove them, delete them from your browser's history, or use a private or incognito window next time.
  • Calls and texts to help lines can show in your phone's call log and messages. Delete them if someone checks your phone.
  • If someone watches your phone or computer, a device they can't see is safer: a friend's phone, or a computer at a library or at work.

These numbers were last checked on . Numbers sometimes change: if one doesn't work, try another service in the same section, or call your local emergency number.
